the bailout

I just bailed out.

I got home and found out that John McCain voted for the bailout stacked up with earmark after earmark after earmark after earmark. And how many times has he used that line,

“The first big-spending, pork-barrel earmark bill that comes across my desk, I will veto it. I will make them famous, and you will know their names. You will know their names.”

Liar.

And I am officially bailing. I know that I will probably get great criticism for this, but here goes…

I will not vote for John McCain or Barak Obama (well he never had a chance anyway). I despise them both and they proved who they are on this economy today.

My only response to this congress and president – rejection.

  1. That’s quite a bit milder than my reaction. I think they should all lose their jobs since they don’t seem to have a clue. As if 700 Billion of our money was not enough to hand over to those responsible for this mess, they tack on another 150 Billion in credits.

  2. Sounds like you need some serious counseling. Call ME ASAP and I will see if I can fit you in. Hurry, I don’t have many available appointments left!

  3. Don’t hate the players hate the games they play with our lives. We have to love the players for our Lord commands it. But he never said we have to love the games. I’m not
voting either so you won’t be completly singled out. It just seems to me that no one really cares about the issues that really matter. When have you seen an indepth story or study on what it will take to save the world and bring the nations together. Besides our fathers holy handbook, I don’t really think there’s anything out there that can get it done. I love you man and We Love All!!!

  4. Hey! One more thing lets take that $700,000,000,000 bail out and divide it out to 200,000,000 people in our country that would be $3,500 per person before taxes. Wonder how that would help our economy Hmmmmmmmmm!!! Think about it.

  5. Maybe you need some sugar in your diet….

  6. Instead of not voting, consider voting for Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party Candidate. It won’t amount to a hill of beans, but it would probably set well with your conscience. Just a thought.

  7. The Constitution Party alternative of Baldwin/Castle is the only suitable vote for the principled Christian, in my view. Yes, Rev. Baldwin doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance of actually gaining the White House, but then isn’t faith what a Christian lives by? Aren’t the just to live by faith and commit the results to God, regardless of the outcome? Uncompromising love and principle is why Jesus gave Himself on the cross, and when all seemed lost, He rose victorious.

The sin of pragmatism has brought this country to this point. Only commitment to principle will lead us out. 2 Samuel 23:3 is clear, “He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God”. I want someone of integrity and principle to be president. That man is Chuck Baldwin.

  8. It’s a funny thing Brad but I had that exact discussion with one of your family last weekend.I find that as an American and veteran I have the right to not choose what I don’t agree with. If we choose not to decide we still have made a choice,I got that from Rush before the bible. I feel like the choices offered to us are limited, kind of like would you like to be burned to death facing north or south,or would you like to destroy your country in the morning or the afternoon, and so forth and so on.Not much of a choice. Maybe this ships going down no matter what we do, but,I don’t want to help by drilling a hole in it to let the water out.
I am praying daily for our nation and our troops, and I will continue till I have no breath to do it.
    Love ya brother,
    Joe

  9. Oh yeah, remember this one “Read my lips,no new taxes!” how about this one “I’m not a crook” or this one “I did not have sex with that woman!” ect. ect. ect. yada yada blah blah blah

  10. I don’t understand how the Republican Party staked claim to the Christian community to begin with… They threw a couple of bones to us in the form of family values and in turn we overlook every other fundamentally challenging position to our faith. We side with a party that replaces God with laws to govern our behaviors rather than one that enables our service and encouragement to those in need of God and prayers.

  11. Amen to comment #10.

  12. Hate? wow

  13. ok. Sanya’s “Hate?” question is valid.
So let me clarify that I do not hate GW or McCain or Obama or any other member of congress, but I do truly hate the manner in which they are leading this nation. So I guess it is one of those “hate the sin, not the sinner”. I’m working on it being that anyway.

  14. Hate to rejection… thanks for the clarification!
