what I want Day 5

A year ago I heard the words, “What do you want and what would you do to get it?”

I answered that question:

I want to see what I don’t see

I want to hear what I don’t hear

I want to know what I don’t know;

and I want to find God.

I can’t live in Acts 28 any longer.

In this finding will come my freedom. No more “bound” (Mt. 12:29) and time to “plunder”.

  1. When God’s people fast with the proper biblical motive – seeking God’s face not His hand – - with a broken, repentant, and contrite spirit, God will hear from heaven and heal our lives, our churches, and our communities.
    I am going to fast along with you. I so want to hear God clearly and am excited as I anticipate what marvelous things I will see.
    Bill Bright has a personal guide to fasting and prayer that I have been reading. I didn’t realize that there really is an art to fasting in order to be able to reap the rewards of fasting.
    I am finding this reading to be helpful.

  2. Maththew 12:28-29 But if I am casting out demons by the spirit of God,then the kingdom of God has arrived among you. Let me illustrate this. You can’t enter a strong man’s house and rob him without first tying him up. Only then can his house be robbed!

    Verse 29 is an illustration, explaining verse 28. satans demons can only be cast out (or robbed from him) if satan is tied up and bound first. You see in verse 28 Only the spirit of God can bind satan.

    This illustration was to show that Jesus didn’t get his power from satan like the Pharasees thought, and that it came from God through the Holy Spirit. If you are a christian you have this same power inside of you. You can and you should use it to have power over your enemies.I think we just get confused as to who our real enemies are. Our fight isn’t against flesh and blood (or earthly things), it’s against satan and his demons as they move all around us all the time trying to manipulate our hearts and minds, and enfluence our thoughts and actions.

    Sin can’t defeat sin, the devil can’t fight himself. Human nature and logic can’t defeat sin because it’s part of our sin nature. That’s why we can’t save ourselves with good thoughts, good deeds, or good works. Our righteousness is as filthy rags to God. Only His righteousness is pure and clean. That’s the righteousness we must take on. That’s the righteousness God sees that makes us acceptable to Him. Fight the world with a relationship with Jesus Christ, fight the temporal with the eternal, fight the sin with righteousness. And do it all through the power of the Holy Spirit.

    BIND SATAN AND ROB HIS KINGDOM. We give him way to much power. It’s time we took some back!!!!!!!! Jesus did it and we can do it too. That’s the freedom I seek.

  3. Joel 1:14
    Declare a holy fast;
    call a sacred assembly.
    Summon the elders
    and all who live in the land
    to the house of the Lord your God,
    and cry out to the Lord.
